Camp

This movie is about a group of young people who join into a talent camp. They practice different kinds of dancing, singing and acting in this camp. In there, they are performing in front of a large audience. Each of them has some problems. Vilad is a handsome and talented man in this camp. However he is suffering from a mental problem- he always keeps counting numbers in his mind when he is boring. The reason he comes to the camp is that he finds he stops counting when he is acting. He meets a girl and a homosexual boy, Michael. This girl's dream is to become a famous actress but her family doesn't support her. Michael is a boy with pimple and he has communicating problem with his family.

Besides a group of troublesome adolescents, there's one poor director who was once famous but now is out of fashion. Since he received criticism from a famous theater, he lost his confidence and passion in his work. He became a drunk and had part-time job in the talent camp. Vilad is a big fan of this director, but he is disappointed when he meets his idol. However, Vilad discovers that the director doesn't lose his passion in creating new work. He decides to help this man. In the end, these adolescents give a perfect performance in front of other people. They are all successful.

I think the most touching part is the black girl's singing. She wears braces on her teeth because her father thinks she is too fat. But in the end, she stands up in the stage and sings. In her singing, she expresses her parents accept the way she is. Everyone is different from others in different ways, but sometimes people like to set a standard of beauty. To achieve the beauty standard, lots of people suffer. Some "ugly" girls would be pushed out from groups. That's really cruel to those people. I think this movie is good and incredible. With some unnamable actors and actress, the director could finish this good movie. This movie cost only 23 days to finish with in low budget.

Winds of September

This is a movie about a group of senior high school students. It happened in1996 when there were lots of Taiwan baseball scandals. The story follows Yen and Tang and their gang of friends through the last year of their high school life. On the day of graduation, Tang chooses not to attend the ceremony, but to fulfill the promise he made with Yen, which is to go down south together to seek out their baseball hero.
In this movie, Yen was a handsome and amorous. His girlfriend was a nice girl whose homework wasn't very good. When Yen hung out with his friends, he always accosted beautiful girls. This kind of behavior annoyed Tang a little bit. Tang was in charge of teaching Yen's girlfriend's homework and he fell in love with her. Besides, there were two first grade students who were very loyal to those seniors. Their class leader always tried to stop these two people going out with Yen and Tang. This gang of friends always spent time together, but they faced a series of trials. Tang was hurt by stranger because he was mistaken for Yen. Yen accosted with other woman who was the stranger's girlfriend. In order to compensate for Tang, Yen mimicked the signature of their baseball hero and gave the ball to Tang. But in the same time, a car accident happened. Yen was dead. Tang was the one who carried Yen. The one of the first grade students also got into trouble because of a stolen motorcycle. One of a senior stole the motorcycle and lent it to his friends. When the first grade student wanted to ride it, he bumped into a person and arrested for stealing a motorcycle. In the end, he left school.
This movie is really terrific. It describes not only friendship but also love between lovers. Besides, it also makes me to think about the meaning of friendship. What kinds of behavior could represent the true friendship? Does it mean always being loyalty to friend even if I might get into jail? Well, I don't think so.

Click

This movie is about a man who gets a wonderful remote control of everything even his life. Michael is an architect who devotes all his time to his job but his boss is an asshole who doesn't appreciate his attitude. Michael has seldom to get along with his family and always has to compare with his rich neighbor. After a period of time, he feels frustrated and tired about so many different remote controls around his life. He decides to get a versatile remote control. A clerk whose name is Morty shows him a special remote control. Michael finds its unique function occasionally. He finds this remote control is really amazing, like he could skip the argument with his wife by pushing the button. He uses this to avoid anything that displeases and annoys him. But in the end, he finds that his life is sucks and boring. Because the special remote control has an unreturnable and pre-recording function, Michael skips lots of important moments in his life. He finally becomes a successful businessman only with money. His wife divorced with him and his children are not very friendly to him. He realizes that he lost his family. He regrets. In the end, he wakes up in a bed of the store. It's just a dream. He is sure which side he should choose now. Michael chooses to cherish his family instead of money.

When I look this movie, I'm thinking that it's a common mistake that most people always take money too seriously. They spend most of their time trying to get lots of money. They ignore their family, their friend and their children. It's really stupid but people always do that. In addition, I also think people really don't know what the important things they need. In order to get lots money, they sacrifice time, health, love and themselves. They forget why they need money. They need money for a happy life, but they are tortured by money in the end. That's weird. Also people don't know how to cherish every moment. People always tell themselves they will do the things latter on but they always forget, including me. In the next minute, everything changes. People always regrets about if they could know early. To be honest, it's useless. Anyway, this movie really gives me a lot of reflection.

Laws of Attraction

Daniel and Audrey are lawyers who are good at fighting divorce lawsuits. Audrey is a woman who has no boyfriends and never loses lawsuits. She's always neat and professional in her cases. Daniel is a man who is very untidy and a little bit crazy in the way of divorce lawsuits. Unlike Audrey who graduated from Yale with first prize, Daniel becomes a professional by lots of experience of divorce lawsuits. He really knows how to take advantage of his opponents. As lawyers, they have many chances to argue with each other in the court. They are like cats and dogs. However, they get married accidentally. In a case of famous rock singer and designer, Audrey is in the side of the famous rock singer who isn't very faithful to his wife and Daniel represents the designer who can't put up with her husband anymore. This couple agrees to divorce but both of them want the same thing- a castle in Ireland. Each of them claims he or she is the only owner. To investigate the truth, Daniel and Audrey came to Ireland. In there, they joined a festivity and got married. Now they are couples in relationship and opponents in court.

They live in the same house to pretend as a couple for the newspaper reveals their relationship. During the time, they get close to each other. They are in love. However, Daniel finds a secret of the rock singer by accident. That's a key to win this lawsuit. In the court, he uses it to defeat Audrey. Audrey feels disappointed about Daniel's behavior so she decides to break up with him. In Daniel's heart, he thinks their love isn't a mistake and never regrets. He agrees to divorce because he respects Audrey's decision. In the end, the rock singer reconciles with the designer. At the same time, Daniel and Audrey also find that their relationship isn't real. It's not lawful at all. After Daniel's leaving, Audrey finally realizes she is falling in love with Daniel. They get married in the end.
After watching this movie, I think about a question. What will most people do when their careers is conflicting with their lovers' career? Which side will they choose? Daniel doesn't mean to rebel Audrey's belief, but he does spill the beans. Sometimes people hurt their beloved ones by accident, but I think this could be avoided. People always have their choices. What makes them choose to hurt their beloved ones? I think that may be their desires for winning.
